A sweet past-time favorite

My mom often made a dessert of pudding deliciousness for family when I was a child. I still have fond memories of salivating after dinner, waiting for my first bite of this amazing dessert. It's part pudding, part whipped cream, part cream cheese, part cookie, part AMAZINGNESS! Can you tell I love my desserts.

Tonight we're going to our very first meal with new friends here. They volunteer with the youth group at our church and have kids relatively in the same age category as us. They're making spicy Mexican mac-n-cheese, we're bringing this:

Layered Pudding Cake

First layer (cookie crust):

1 1/4 c. flour
2 T. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans are ideal)

Mix together and press in a 9 X 13 pan. Bake at 350 degree for 10-14 minutes. Cool completely.

Second layer:
1 c. powdered sugar
2 c. Fresh made whipped cream (one 8oz container of whipping cream, tsp vanilla, 1 Tbsp powdered sugar. Beat until large peaks are formed)
8 oz cream cheese

Mix together and place on cool cookie layer.

Third & Forth layers:

Make1 box instant chocolate pudding
Make 1 box instant butterscotch pudding

Place butterscotch pudding on second layer and then the chocolate pudding on top of the butterscotch layer.

Fifth Layer:
Spread 2 c. Fresh made whipped cream (for a total of four cups of this recipe) on the fourth layer.
Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles or chocolate chips. Another option is to lightly dust the top with cocoa powder.

Prepare to unbutton your pants or loosen your belt a bit. #soworthit!
Enjoy!
