Elianna in the Kitchen

....Elianna was in the kitchen this morning, making some pretend food with pretend bowls and pretend spoons. I was listening as she pretended:

"First you've got to mix your dry ingredients."

"Then you've got to mix your wet ingredients."

"Now put them together."

"Crack your eggs, be careful."

"Mix it well."

(...her noticing that I'm watching)

Me: "Elianna, what are you baking?"

Elianna: "Pink cake!"

She proceeded to finish and then sing Happy Birthday to herself!

My heart! How I love that kid!
